SPEAKER PROFILES
Graham Hunter BVM&S GPCert(EqP) CertEP CertAVP(ESO) MRCVS

After graduating from the Royal (Dick) Veterinary School, Graham joined Ardene House Veterinary Practice, Aberdeen in 1990. His focus quickly became equine work and, he was instrumental in building the first equine hospital facility in the north of Scotland at Kingswells in 1997.
Keen on personal development Graham has undertaken extra equine qualifications, most recently attaining a certificate in equine surgery and orthopaedics. In 2009 Graham was appointed as an RCVS examiner for the Certificate in Equine Practice and continued in this position for 5 years. Although interested in all aspects of equine medicine and surgery, his focus and passion over recent years has very much been on lameness, gait analysis and surgery cases.
Graham has held many roles including, VetTrust Director, extensive World Horse Welfare charity work, a Joint Measurement Board Official Measurer, a judge for British Breeding Futurity gradings. He also works for the NHS, in a role representing the equine industry in antibiotic prescribing stewardship and, has lectured extensively to horse clients and vets at Congress and professional development meetings. Currently he is the equine General Veterinary Advisor for IVC.
